Breed Temperament
Basset Hounds are gentle, friendly, and easygoing family pets known for their affectionate nature. Originally bred to hunt in packs, they generally get along well with other dogs and pets, and their people-oriented temperament makes them great with children. While they are fairly intelligent, they can be somewhat stubborn, so consistent positive reinforcement training is recommended.
