The Beaglier is a relatively new designer dog breed that originated in Australia in the 1990s. This breed combines the scent-tracking ability of the Beagle with the affectionate nature of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Developed to be a friendly, low-maintenance companion dog.
Breed Appearance
A small to medium-sized dog with a compact body, floppy ears, and expressive eyes. Their coat can vary but is usually short to medium in length and comes in a mix of colors.
•Height: 12–16 inches
•Weight: 10–25 lbs
Breed Temperament
Playful, affectionate, and social, Beagliers get along well with children and other pets. They inherit the Beagle’s curiosity and the Cavalier’s love of cuddles.
Breed Grooming
Low-maintenance coat that requires weekly brushing. Regular ear cleaning is needed to prevent infections.
Special Notes
They can inherit the Beagle’s strong sense of smell, making them prone to following scents. A secure yard and leash training are essential.
